Advanced GPS Technology Ltd. produces the fleet management system GPS Logistic. It consists of software applications and hardware components. The software part is designed for both PC (OS: Windows) and mobile devices (OS: Android). All software configurations are provided for free to our Customers. The hardware modules include:

1. Default GPS module – GPS monitoring without additional extras. Upon choosing this option, the Customer can obtain the following data from the vehicle: current position and route history; distance traveled on the map; engine status (On/Off); ignition key status (On/Off); level of the car battery; movement speed; fuel level in the tank. In this scenario, the calculation of fuel consumption, level, re-fills and fuel tefts are dependent on the quality and reliability of the original fuel level sensor of the vehicle.

2. GPS unit with connection to the onboard computer – As an addition to the default GPS monitoring, in this configuration, there is also a module for safe onboard computer data reading. This enriches the available data with the following parameters: fuel consumption, detected by the onboard computer; total mileage, which can be compared to the distance on the map; peak points of the RPM of the engine; working temperature of the engine; fuel level in the tank – as a percentange of its total volume.

3. Additional modules to the default and more advanced GPS monitoring – The data, registrated by the GPS unit, can be augmented with the installation of the following peripherials:

3.1. Driver identification module – with the installation of this module, the GPS device can collect the identification code of the driver by reading his electronic card or badge. The gathered data is then added to the available vehicle parameters and additional reports are unlocked in GPS Logistic. For example: Working hours – drivers.

3.2. Electronic fuel level sensor – With the addition of this sensor, the GPS unit starts to collect precise information about the fuel level in the tank, available at any moment. In this way, the fuel level, consumption, re-fills and fuel teft parameters are made more accurate. This extra is strongly recomended for vehicles with broken or not precise enough original fuel level sensors.

3.3. Driver communication module with GARMIN navigation – This option allows the GPS device to establish a connection with the GARMIN navigation of the driver via direct cable. It enables the GARMIN device to receive and send text messages to the fleet managment system and to receive and navigate to a destination chosen by the fleet manager in GPS Logistic.

3.4. Bluetooth module for communication with mobile device (OS: Android) – The addition of this extra allows the GPS device to establish a wireless connection to the smart phone or tablet device of the driver. The idea is the same as with the stationary navigiation unit: the driver to be able to exchange text messages with the fleet manager and the fleet manager to able to send locations for dispatch to the vehicle. The received coordinates can then be loaded on the preferred navigation software, installed on the mobile device.

3.5. Temperature registration module – The installation of temperature sensors (electronic thermometers) in the refrigirated trailer, enables the GPS device to gather data from up to 4 temperature zones. More to come, there is an option for monitoring the status of the trailer door (Opened/Closed), the status of the refrigeration unit (On/Off) and other parameters, that regard to the frozen goods chain management.

3.6. Voice module for driving mode selection – When this moduled is added to the GPS unit, the respective driver can switch between two driving regimes – for private purposes or work-related trip. When the control unit is operated correctly, the data can be used to make the reports for traveled routes more detailed as it adds whether the trip was made for private or business purposes. This facilitates the accounting department, as they can easily differentiate which travels should be calculated to the company expenses and which should be excluded from them.

4. Mobile GPS tracker – This detachable GPS device is most often recommended when the company representatives use their private vehicle for work-related purposes from time to time. They can swtich on the Tracker by connecting it to the lighter slot in their car in order it to start collecting position data and the system to be able to create a report for their business trips. By definition, this GPS monitoring version is the same as the default vehicle tracking, but in this case, fuel data measurement cannot be performed.
